Last week, our very own Joseph Fortuno was invited to The White House along with five other student entrepreneur champions from across the nation!

The students were invited for a meeting to celebrate National Entrepreneurship Month. Having won the Microsoft Social Innovation Award with Herban Movement for their efforts on combating the use of plastic bags in California, Joseph was one of the two students who represented Junior Achievement at the White House.

A meeting was held in The Eisenhower Building with Science Advisor, Dr. John Holdren, and U.S. Chief Technology Officer Megan Smith in attendance. After the meeting, the students met with President Obama in the Oval Office, where Joseph was able to talk to the president about his achievements and current endeavors.

Recently, Joseph joined Gladeo as our Head Student Ambassador and Social Media Coordinator, pioneering a program with his peers that will help students connect to industry professionals and help spread Gladeo's message!
