“Junior Achievement’s purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.”
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! This month, Gladeo will be featuring three exemplary non-profits that have made a positive impact by back to the community. To begin, we are featuring an organization that has fostered generations of youth with work-readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy skills- Junior Achievement.
Junior Achievement (JA) is dedicated to making sure today’s youth is prepared and educated about working towards economic success. Every year, Junior Achievement reaches 4.8 million students in over 200,000 classrooms throughout all 50 states from grades K-12. Currently, there are over 20 programs within Junior Achievement that focus on the combination of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness. Outside of the United States, Junior Achievement reaches 10.6 million students in 117 countries with offices in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, and South America.
By the time a student becomes a JA alum, they enter the workplace with drive, goals, and experience that extends far beyond the classroom. Just ask any of our 5 current JA alums in the Gladeo League!
So what makes Junior Achievement so great?
All of the JA programs are taught by a diverse group of volunteers who come from different backgrounds. It is their passion and hard work which makes Junior Achievement such a powerful and inspiring organization.
On behalf of the millions of students who now have the tools they need to find success with their careers- thank you, Junior Achievement, for empowering the future for over 100 years.
Make sure you check out our blog this month to see which organizations we will feature!
