May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month !

"Every day, someone realizes a dream. I believe dreams help light our darkness and give us the push we need to move across the rink of life."
-Kristi Yamaguchi, former Olympic figure skater

The beautiful month of May is here! And as we stride towards the end of the school year, we are also glad to celebrate this month as Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month!

Every week this month, the Gladeo League will honor notable individuals who pride themselves with their Asian heritage. From the powerful literature of Amy Tan to the soulful voice of Lea Salonga, Gladeo League members Tiffany Gonzales, Brandon Fong, Joseph Fortuno, and Mahal William will be sharing some of their personal role models with our readers.

Make sure to check our Instagram throughout the month as we take this time to celebrate the Asian culture, traditions, and history. Don't forget to join us on social media with #AsianPacificAmericanHeritageMonth as we celebrate the works of some of our favorite Asian-Pacific American icons.
