Gladeo at Richmond's Getting Ready For College Conference 2016!

On October 29th, Gladeo Co-Founder Michelle Cho conducted a workshop at the annual Getting Ready For College Conference hosted jointly by the Ed Fund, City of Richmond, and the West Contra Costa Unified School District. The event took place at the Richmond Memorial Auditorium and Convention Center, and provided students and their parents with workshops on post-secondary life and opportunities to start on the financial aid process.

The conference offered several workshops on the process of college and careers, from choosing the right college to writing a personal statement. Gladeo Founder Michelle Cho presented the company’s signature workshop "Dream Confidently: How to find and pursue your dream career" to 10th graders from WCCUSD. The workshop aimed to inspire students in their prospective career journeys and instructed them on the prerequisite steps needed for exploring their possible paths after high school. The workshop also informed students on the wide range of resources available for their use.

After the workshop students surveyed reported said they were more hopeful about their future, more motivated, and more knowledgeable about what steps to take in high school to prepare for their future career.
