#WOMENSHISTORYMONTH - Sheryl Sandberg

"I want every little girl who's told she's bossy to be told that she has leadership skills instead."

-Sheryl Sandberg

Today, we honor a woman who is currently taking the world by storm: Sheryl Sandberg.

Sandberg is the current Chief Operating Officer of Facebook, former VP of Global Online Sales and Operations at Google, and former Chief of Staff for the US Secretary of the Treasury Lawrence Summers.

Throughout the years, Sandberg has received a lot of recognition, including being in Time's 100 Most Influential People in the World, one of Fortune's 50 Most Powerful Women in Business, and Wall Street Journal's 50 Women to Watch.

Not only is she a superstar in the workplace, but she uses her voice to bring awareness to women's causes. She is the author of the best seller Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead, which details personal stories, female empowerment, and advises women on how they can thrive in the workplace. In 2013, she founded the women's organization, Lean In, and sits on the board of directors for Women for Women International.

Gladeo would like to show appreciation to Sheryl Sandberg, and name her our final #fiercefemales for the month! Her individual success and her passion for women's rights makes her a great example of a modern day superwoman.
