Gladeo Achieves Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Level IV Certification!

Gladeo is excited to announce that we are now ESSA Level IV Certified, after achieving alignment with the rigorous standards outlined in the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)!

A bipartisan measure signed into effect by President Obama on December 10, 2015, ESSA reauthorizes the Elementary and Secondary Education Act—the “nation’s national education law and longstanding commitment to equal opportunity for all students.”

The ESSA model establishes four tiers, or levels, of evidence that organizations must provide in order to demonstrate the feasibility of their evidence-based interventions. Tiers 1-3 are focused mainly on “methodology and analytic approach,” while Tier 4 deals with the “conceptual framework used to develop the intervention.”

As CA.gov explains it, “Tier 4 – Demonstrates a Rationale: practices that have a well-defined logic model or theory of action, are supported by research, and have some effort underway by an SEA [state education agency], LEA [local education agency] or outside research organization to determine their effectiveness.”

Gladeo’s ESSA Level IV Certification

Achieving ESSA Level IV certification signifies that Gladeo adheres to the most stringent standards in the education industry.

As a Public Benefit Corporation, we’re on a mission to revolutionize the way students discover and explore career opportunities that meet their interests and aptitudes. Through the Gladeo platform, we empower learners from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds to hear stories and follow the career journeys of relatable, successful workforce employees across a broad spectrum of industries.

In this way, we're democratizing access to insider information that has historically been passed on by word-of-mouth and closed social networks. Once learners find career areas of interest, we’re able to then connect them with reputable education and training programs so they can start developing the skills they’ll need to succeed!
